Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to support the diversity of Expedia employees and to reaffirm the company's commitment to fully comply with the letter and intent of all applicable laws against employment discrimination.
Procedure:
- Expedia, Inc will make all employment decisions based solely upon individual merit and qualifications directly related to professional competence and job requirements.
- Expedia, Inc. strictly prohibits its employees and representatives from engaging in any form of prohibited discrimination in any aspect of employment, including job application procedures, hiring, compensation, promotion or advancement, discipline, termination, training, and any other term, condition, or privilege of employment. All such employment decisions shall be made wholly without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, national origin, ancestry, marital status, age, mental or physical disability, medical condition, pregnancy status, veteran status, genetic information, or any other characteristics protected by law.
- Expedia, Inc. takes all allegations of harassment and unlawful discrimination seriously and shall promptly address any such concerns that are raised regarding this policy. Employees determined to have violated this policy shall be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, deemed necessary to restore full compliance with this policy. Responsibilities:
- Human Resources is responsible for ensuring that all employment practices are non-discriminatory and in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Managers are responsible for ensuring that all activities within their areas of responsibility are conducted in a manner that complies with this policy.
- Employees are responsible for reporting any instances of behavior that they believe to be discriminatory directly to the Human Resources Department. All reports will be investigated and responded to in a timely manner.
