Expedia expeditiously expedites travelers to all corners of the globe. To do it, we opened offices in major metropolitan cities and major travel destinations all over the world. Consider making one of the following outposts your career home base:

Bellevue, Washington

Bellevue is considered part of the Seattle metro area, as it sits just three miles east of the Emerald City. Sandwiched between Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish, Bellevue boast stunning views of the Cascade Mountain foothills just 10 miles to the west. It has also evolved from a sleepy little hamlet into a major center for quality living and is the economic and cultural hub known as "The Eastside." And for those who prefer the excitement of the big city, nearby Seattle is home to many Expedia employees who make the scenic trip across a floating bridge to work in our Bellevue headquarters.

Tacoma, Washington

Along the shores of Commencement Bay, nestled in the shadow of Mount Rainier, lies Tacoma, Washington. Known as the City of Destiny, it is the international gateway to the Pacific Rim and the world, and gateway to some amazing natural wonders such as Puget Sound, Mount Rainier National Park, and the Olympic Peninsula. Roughly 40 minutes from Seattle, Tacoma is a great place to work and live.

San Jose, California

"Chip City" to locals, San Jose is Silicon Valley's commercial and cultural center. Home to high science and high art, San Jose hosts many of the world's computer and semiconductor companies, and has plenty in the way of entertainment. The Shoreline Amphitheater provides stadium sized outdoor concerts, The San Jose Museum of Art hosts major exhibitions (admission is free), and let's not forget the outdoors. San Jose has got it all.

Orlando, Florida

Centrally located on the Florida peninsula, Orlando is a theme park mecca that includes Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, and Busch Gardens, to name a few. Tropical weather and year-round warmth add to its enchantment. Take a day trip and head west to walk along the Gulf shores, or head east for the deep Atlantic. Let's just say this location offers plenty of entertainment.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The "Venice of America," Fort Lauderdale beckons to those who long for warm white sand beaches and plenty of boardwalks. Established as an international business center and one of the most desirable locations for new, expanding and relocating businesses, Fort Lauderdale offers the best of both worlds — an attractive business environment and an outstanding quality of life.

Dallas, Texas

Ten gallon hats, oil, and steers — hey, don't mess with Texas. But there's so much more to Dallas, the #1 leisure travel and business destination in Texas. Dallas offers a unique blend of Southwestern warmth, cosmopolitan flair, Old West charm and modern sophistication. With 384 square miles of rolling prairie, Dallas is the least densely populated major metropolitan area in the world. You can't mess with perfection.

Montreal, Canada

Montreal, named after Mount Royal, a hill at its center, is the largest city in Quebec and the second largest in Canada. The French city is famous for its joie de vivre, and has a reputation for its cuisine and legendary nightlife. You will also find affordable rent, many skating rinks, ski trails and cycling paths, golf courses and the majestic waters of the Saint Lawrence River.

Toronto, Canada

Toronto is a city within a park. In the lush green you will find the world's tallest tree, we mean building, the CN Tower, and the world's longest path, we mean street. As far south as the French Riviera, Toronto's population exceeds Canada's four Atlantic Provinces combined. Even so the high quality of life is located within one of the safest urban environments in the world.

London, England

London is home to Big Ben, Beefeaters and red buses. It also has a world-class subway system second only to New York's metro and accents full of sophisticated charm. Pegged as the "world's most exciting city," a career experience in London is sure to be one of the most unique. Word to the wise: Mind the gap, and look right before crossing the street.

Paris, France

Many are attracted to the glow and sophistication of la Ville Lumière, The City of Light. Its charm and cosmopolitan style will have you sipping coffee in the cafés, donning a béret, and walking along the River Seine. Getting around the city is détendu (no sweat), using the world's best public transportation system, even if it is among the oldest. In Paris, nothing is more than 500 yards from a Métro stop.

Milan, Italy

Italy's most important commercial center is Milan, making it an intense city of bustling business. The answer to this is Milan's small-world charms. You can climb the stairs of the world's fourth-largest church, the Duomo Milan Cathedral, to see panoramic views of the city or explore Milan's narrow streets and welcoming parks for even more pleasant escapes. This Northern Italian city's sophisticated style influences the globe.

Madrid, Spain

Spain's "Liveliest City" holds Picassos, the Prado, the Plaza de la Villa — and as much tapas as you can eat. Dance the night away in Madrid's discotecas and live your days in a world capital with more than 4 million residents. Madrid is home to a mixing pot of expatriates from England, Ireland, Australia, and the United States. Others come from all over the Latin world.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, is the perfect blend of polished big-city attractions and cozy small-town comforts. Famous for its winding canals, cyclists, coffee shops, Vincent Van Gogh, and 1,000 bridges, Amsterdam also shares the things that make the country famous: tulips, windmills, and cheese farms. With over a million inhabitants, 173 nationalities, 600,000 bicycles and 165 canals, Amsterdam is by far one of the most colorful places in the world to work and live.

Brussels, Belgium

Want to experience art and architecture, cuisine, friendly people, and medieval cities? Look to Brussels, the Capital of Europe. Brussels is one of the world's great cosmopolitan cities, home to the European Union and NATO, as well as a wealth of international trade and finance companies. This is a city of markets: the bird market, the flower market, the antique market, the flea market, and the horse market. Call Brussels home and call the intersection of the world home.

Munich, Germany

Munich, meaning "Berlin's rival" in Lederhosen, is the second most popular destination in Germany with a population of 1.4 million. It's known as "The World City With a Heart." It's close to Prague and Budapest, and it's a place where museums, an art scene, and Oktoberfest all converge. A center of the new economy in Germany, Munich continues to be a center for biotechnology, programming and Internet companies in Germany. Residents of Munich enjoy a high quality of life that consistently ranks Munich among the top 10 cities to live worldwide.

Sydney, Australia

The Harbour City, Sydney is an emerging global city. More than 150,000 residents swell to around 600,000 people, as visitors, workers and shoppers come into the city center everyday. And that's not counting the regions koalas, kangaroos, and rugby players. Sydney is a hub to growing business, expanding culture, and an oasis in the world's sixth largest country. Live in Australia, and you'll experience life in a multicultural society that has been enriched by over six million settlers from almost 200 nations.

Hong Kong, China

The "Pearl of the Orient" is one of the world's busiest international business centers and ports. It is no surprise that Hong Kong is Asia's most populated city. Skyscrapers line Hong Kong, and this vibrant city's phenomenal population adds to the region's prosperity and quality of life. People love it so much, they never leave, and visitors return throughout the year. Hong Kong is definitely an extraordinary place to call home.
